A FUN, SOCIAL, AND COMPETITIVE WAY TO DO ARCHERY

Looking for a reason to shoot regularly, meet other archers, and challenge yourself in a low pressure environment? Gotham Archery Leagues are designed to be fun, welcoming, and fair—whether you’re fairly new to archery or a seasoned shooter.

Our leagues focus on consistency, community, and friendly competition. Thanks to our handicap scoring system, archers of different experience levels can compete on an even playing field.

League schedule & format

We run four leagues per year.

  • Each league lasts 12 weeks (Summer League runs for 8 weeks)
  • Leagues shoot on Mondays and Wednesdays

Monday and Wednesday sessions are independent, with separate standings. Choose the night that works best for you.

That means 8 total league sessions per year (4 seasons × 2 nights).

What league night is like

League night is structured, friendly, and very much a highlight of the week:

  • Structured scoring and plenty of shooting time
  • Shoot weekly with the same crew
  • Encouragement, banter, and good vibes throughout the night

After shooting, many league participants choose to head out for drinks nearby to continue hanging out and getting to know each other. These post-league outings are informal and organized by league members themselves (they are not hosted, managed, or affiliated with Gotham Archery).

As a perk of league night, participants often receive a discounted first round of drinks at a nearby bar.

Who is our archery league for?

Leagues are ideal if you:

  • Want a reason to shoot consistently
  • Enjoy friendly competition without intimidation
  • Are comfortable shooting safely on your own

You do not need to be an expert to join. Many league members use the league as a way to improve their shooting over time while having fun.

Fair competition with a handicap system

Our handicap system adjusts scores based on shooting level, allowing newer and experienced archers to compete together. Standings reward consistency and improvement, not just raw score.

The result? Close matches, exciting standings, and a league where everyone has a real chance to succeed.
